Collapse of Financial Capital Wall Street America
The Last 6 months of 2008, were the worst, that lead to fall of investment banking era, with the downfall or evaporation of firms like
Wachovia,
Lehmen Bros,
Merill Lynch,
AIG,
Forced Goldman Sacs and Morgan Stanley to obtain bank status from pure investment firms,
Washington Mutual,
Rescue of Citigroup by Fed, indirect pumping of lifeline to almost every Bank with TARP.
If TARP concept was used from the beginning, Couldn't we have rescued the downfall of financial firms ?
It took nearly 1 year to officially declare a recession which was sometime 2008 Oct.

The Weekend Lehman Died
Now only Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley are the only major investment banks left in America. How did BAC find enough capital to buy Merill. How effective will the RTC Plan of Federal will be? How assets will get off as losses from balance sheets of commercial banks.

Finance on Sale
The whole finance sector in USA is down because of credit crunch. Many companies have actually lost money and many of have seen the ripple effect just because they belong to the sector. Most have them have seen their multi year lows. Every one on the street agrees, they got hit more than what it should have been. What ever lets not get into what or why. I kind of enjoy studying this situation.
Lets see.
